Halifax Water will be upgrading infrastructure on Federal Avenue, Romans Avenue and McAlpine Avenue. Halifax Water’s work will include the installation of new water main and storm sewer. In advance of this work, Dexter Construction will be conducting survey work tomorrow (Tuesday, April 7th).
Crews will be surveying throughout the area of Federal Avenue, Romans Avenue and McAlpine Avenue Tuesday from 7:00 AM – approximately 7:00 PM. There will be rolling stop and go traffic as crews move through the work area. See attached survey area map.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
