You have several convenient options to pay your Halifax Water bill

These are some of the options available to you to pay your Halifax Water bill. Choose the option that works best for you.

Payment Options

Drop box

24-hour drop-off payment boxes are located at the following offices (cheques and money orders must be made out to “Halifax Water”):

Pre-authorized payment

Pay your bill directly from your bank account through Halifax Water’s Pre-authorized Payment Program.

Credit card

Use a Master Card or Visa to pay your Halifax Water bill. There will be a service fee of 1.75% per transaction. 

In person

When paying in person, please present your full bill at:

  • 450 Cowie Hill Road, Halifax
    Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

You can also pay in person at Halifax Customer Service Centres

Online Banking/Telebanking

Payments can be made by online banking or telebanking (check with your financial institution for available options.)

Payee List

Cheques and money orders must be made out to the following payees. It will not be accepted if it's not addressed to one of the following:

  • Halifax Water
  • Halifax Regional Water Commission
  • Halifax Water Commission
Overdue Accounts

Halifax Water offers payment extensions and payment arrangements for overdue accounts.
Please contact Halifax Water Customer Care Centre at 902-420-9287 during regular Customer Care Centre hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM).

Changes to epost

On November 23, 2020, Halifax Water launched Customer Connect. As a result, Halifax Water bills will no longer be available through epostTM effective May 31st, 2021. Halifax Water bills are available through Customer Connect and we encouraging all customers using epostTM to sign up for Customer Connect.

Customers will still enjoy many of the features offered by epostTM, through Customer Connect, such as a secure environment, convenient access through your laptop, tablet or mobile device, organized bill statements and payments and it’s all still free.

You will continue to have access to any information or bills you have stored in epostTM for up to seven years. However, these terms of access could change and so we would encourage you to download any information you would like to keep.
