The timeline of this work has been extended to 5:00 PM this evening.
Halifax Water crews will be working to repair a water main tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4, on Wright Avenue between McCurdy Avenue and MacDonald Avenue (see attached map).
There will be stop and go traffic in the work zone. The hours of work will be 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Customers will be notified directly if this work will impact water service to their property.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On-site personnel will maintain communication with local businesses and property owners to help minimize disruption. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
