From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, August 31, Halifax Water crews will be on-site working to replace a water valve at the intersection of Morris Street and Brenton Street, Halifax.

During this work, water service will be temporarily shut down on:

  • Morris Street between South Park Street and Queen Street
  • Brenton Street between Clyde Street and Morris Street

Brenton Street will be open to local traffic only between Morris Street and Clyde Street. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks remain open.

Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.

For the safety of work crews and residents, please observe social/physical distancing requirements (2 metres of separation).
