Traffic Advisory – Rutledge Street

Until approximately 2:00 PM today Halifax Water crews will be performing wastewater system maintenance on Rutledge Street, Bedford. This work will not impact Halifax Water services in the area.  

• Rutledge Street from the Bedford Highway to Pleasant Street is closed. Detours are in place.   
• There are lane reductions on the Bedford Highway near the intersection of Rutledge Street with two-way traffic maintained.  

Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks remain open.

Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
