Starting at 11:00 PM on Thursday, September 10 until 7:00 AM on Friday, September 11, Halifax Water crews will complete wastewater and stormwater system maintenance on several streets in Downtown Halifax. This work will not impact Halifax Water services in the area.
There will be stop-and go traffic in place for a Halifax Water crew to conduct wastewater system maintenance along the following streets:
- Barrington Street between Morris Street and Spring Garden Road.
- Argyle Street between Prince Street and Blowers Street.
There will be stop-and go traffic in place for a second Halifax Water crew to conduct stormwater system maintenance along the following streets:
- Hollis Street between Duke Street and Morris Street.
- Granvile Street between George Street and Duke Street.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
