Beginning on Monday, April 27 and continuing until approximately the end of September 2026, Dexter Construction, on behalf of Halifax Water, will complete water, wastewater, and stormwater upgrades on First Street and Raymond Street, Dartmouth.
The typical hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
During this work, the following traffic control will be in place:
- Raymond Street will be open to local traffic only between First Street and Lakecrest Drive.
- A detour will be in place
- Sidewalks will be closed on Raymond Street
- First Street will be open to local traffic only between Mountain Road and Raymond Street.
- A detour will be in place.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
