Beginning today, Halifax Water will be conducting planned maintenance work at the Springfield Lake Wastewater Treatment Facility. This work is expected to continue over the next two days.
During this period, customers in the surrounding area may notice increased activity at the facility, including the presence of contractors, equipment, and vehicles.
As part of the maintenance process, there is potential for temporary odours to be present in the area. These odours are not unusual during this type of work and are expected to be short-term.
This work will not impact Halifax Water services in the area.
