Ketch Harbour Road - Stormwater System Upgrades

There will be no loss of water, wastewater or stormwater services

Halifax Water will be replacing a culvert near 31 Ketch Harbour Road in Herring Cove beginning tomorrow (Friday, October 30th).

This work will require stop and go traffic in the work zone beginning Friday, October 30th from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Work will resume Monday, November 2nd with stop and go traffic in the work zone from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Beginning Tuesday, November 3rd, 8:00am and continuing until Friday, November 6th, 4:00pm, Ketch Harbour Road will be closed near civic #31 on a 24hour basis. There will be no through traffic. Traffic will be detoured via Village Road and Hebridean Drive. There will be local traffic access only in the work zone. See the attached work zone map for details.

Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

There will be no loss of water, wastewater or stormwater services.

For the safety of work crews and residents, please maintain social/physical distancing requirements of at least 2 metres/6 feet.
