Halifax Water crews will be undertaking water system maintenance activities tonight (Tuesday, January 7th) on Joseph Howe Drive near the intersection of Dutch Village Road.
The curb lane and sidewalk in the work zone on Joseph Howe Drive will be closed. The curb lane and sidewalk in the work zone on Dutch Village Road between Percy Street and Joseph Howe Drive will also be closed (see attached work zone map).
Hours of work will be from 6:00 PM tonight until 12:00 midnight. During this work, water service to some customers will be interrupted. Impacted customers have been notified.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
