Attention motorists, pedestrians and cyclists, Halifax Water will be undertaking water main work near 3800 Joseph Howe Drive on Saturday, June 1st.
This work will take place from 6:00 AM until approximately 6:00 PM Saturday, June 1st. There will be stop and go traffic in the work zone (see attached work zone map). Sidewalks will remain open.
There will be water service shutdowns as part of this work. Properties impacted by the water service shutdown have received written notice.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists and cyclists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists and cyclists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
