From 10:00 PM on Thursday, April 3, until approximately 5:00 AM on Friday, April 4, Halifax Water crews will be repairing a water main near 3711 Joseph Howe Drive, Halifax. Water service will be temporarily shut down in this area. Impacted water service customers were notified in advance of this work.
There will be a lane reduction in the work zone with two-way traffic maintained. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks will be closed in the work zone.
Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. To learn more about discoloured water and to report it, please visit www.halifaxwater.ca/discoloured-water.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
