Geotechnical Work – Old Ferry Road

This work will not impact Halifax Water services in the area.

Please be advised that DesignPoint Engineering & Survey Ltd., will be conducting geotechnical investigation work at the end of Old Ferry Road, Dartmouth on October 24 and 25, 2024 (weather dependent). All work will take place on weekdays from 7:00am to 7:00pm. (see area highlighted in map below).  

During this work please use caution while using the Trans Canada Trial from Old Ferry Road as access will be temporary restricted to move equipment. 
 
This geotechnical work is required to support an upcoming Halifax Water project that will separate stormwater discharge from the wastewater system in and around Maynard Lake and Clement Street area.  
 
This work will take place on private Build Nova Scotia and CN Rail property. There will be no impact to residents properties.  
 
Please note that this is planning work only. Halifax Water will communicate with area residents well in advance of construction work beginning in the area for this project. Construction work to support this project is not expected to take place in this area in 2024.  
 
To ensure the safety of communities and our staff, please maintain a safe distance when Halifax Water staff or contractors are working in your area.
