Beginning on Monday, July 14 at 7:00 AM until Friday, July 18 at 6:00 PM, Dexter Construction will complete storm pipe work for the Cathedral Lane Sewer Separation project on behalf of Halifax Water.
During this time, the following pedestrian and vehicle traffic control will be in place:
- There will be an altered centre line on Spring Garden Road near the intersection of South Park Street.
- The bike lane and sidewalk on South Park Street between Sackville Street and Spring Garden Road will be closed.
- Pedestrians and cyclists will detour to the opposite side of the road.
- The sidewalk will re-open by Thursday morning, July 17, on both sides of the street.
- There will be no impact on the entrance of the Public Gardens.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
Halifax Water services will be maintained during this work.
