Bayers Lake Area - Hydrant Flushing

This may cause temporarily discoloured water in these areas
Published: 4:14 PM | May 12, 2020

Attention motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, in order to maintain high-quality water throughout the Halifax distribution system, crews will be flushing hydrants in the following areas of Bayers Lake tomorrow (Wednesday).

Ash Lake Court, Crane Lake Drive, Belleshire Drive, Hobson’s Lake Drive, Otter Lake Court, Oland Crescent, Grove Avenue and Lacewood Drive.

This may cause temporarily discoloured water in these areas. Halifax Water recommends that customers experiencing discoloured water flush their cold water lines until the water is clear and avoid using the water for direct consumption purposes until the water is clear. The water remains safe for showering, bathing, cleaning and flushing toilets.

For the safety of work crews and residents, please observe social/physical distancing requirements (2 metres of separation).

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
