Update: The wastewater system maintenance work that took place today at the corner of Barrington Street and Inglis Street is now complete, the affected section of Barrington Street and sidewalks are now open to the public.

Attention motorists and pedestrians, Halifax Water crews are undertaking wastewater (sewer) system maintenance today, August 30th, on the corner of Barrington Street and Inglis Street.
Local traffic only on the short extension of Barrington Street south of this corner.
Expect stop and go traffic at the corner of Barrington Street and Inglis Street.
Experienced traffic control personnel are on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zones. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
There will be no loss of water, wastewater or stormwater service.
