On Friday, October 3, from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., Harbour Construction on behalf of Halifax Water will be completing a water main replacement on Almon Street, Halifax.
The following traffic control measures will be in place:
- Local traffic only on Almon Street between Windsor Street and Oxford Street.
- Local traffic only on Dublin Street between Berlin Street and Edinburgh Street.
- The intersection of Dublin Street and Almon Street will be closed, and detours will be in place. See map for further details.
- Sidewalks will remain open.
Halifax Water services will be off in the area from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Impacted water service customers have been notified of this work in advance.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
