Halifax Water crews are continuing with our seasonal hydrant flushing activities to maintain high-quality water throughout the water distribution system in HRM each day from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

As a result of this water distribution system maintenance, some customers in or near the flushing areas may experience temporarily discoloured water or low water pressure. Residents can check the online interactive map below to see if they are in or near the potentially impacted areas.

If you experience discoloured water, please report it at: www.halifaxwater.ca/discoloured-water. Information on what to do if your water is discoloured is also available on this page.

You can view the flushing map in a new browser window.

These activities will continue for approximately four more weeks as crews move throughout the distribution system. Further updates will be provided as flushing progresses to other areas. There will be no traffic impacts.

For the safety of work crews and residents, please observe social/physical distancing requirements (2 metres of separation).

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
