As part of our ongoing commitment to communicating with customers and the local community, Halifax Water would like to inform you that we are installing a new stormwater sewer main on Bayers Road between Desmond Avenue and Joseph How Drive. This work is part of the utility's 30-year, $4 billion investment commitment to improving aging water, wastewater and stormwater systems.
Sackville Trenching will be completing this project on behalf of Halifax Water. The safety of staff, contractors and the public is our top priority during this work.

This work will begin the week of August 5, 2024, with the project expected to be completed in October 2024. Typical hours of work will be 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
This work will involve excavation in the street to install the new stormwater sewer main and excavation in the right of way. Following the sewer separation, the work areas will be restored – including repaving the impacted sections of the street and any impacted property. See the attached map for the entire project area. Traffic control personnel will be on-site during this construction to manage traffic flows
