Attention motorists and pedestrians, XL Electric, on behalf of Halifax Water will be undertaking wastewater (sewer) pumping station maintenance Monday, August 5th and Tuesday, August 6th.
This work will require stop and go traffic on Mount Hope Avenue near the intersection of Pleasant Street August 5th and 6th from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. See the attached work zone map for details.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
Sidewalk access may not be maintained at all times during this work, please use alternate routes.
There will be no loss of water, wastewater or stormwater service.
