Attention motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, Halifax Water will be undertaking water main installation work on Lucasville Road beginning Saturday, October 19th and continuing into Sunday, October 20th.
This work will require the closure of Lucasville Road between Hammonds Plains Road and Old Sackville Road from 7:00 AM Saturday – 9:00 PM Sunday. Access will be maintained for local residents and businesses, however, through passage of the work site across from Civic 521 Lucasville Road (immediately southwest of Bryanston Road) will not be possible due to the excavation.
Some residents in the area of the work may experience reduced water pressure or discoloured water during this project. See the attached map for areas that may be affected.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
