Brycon Construction Ltd, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be undertaking water system on Brigadoon Avenue in Dartmouth beginning Saturday, May 8.
This work will require a water service shutdown from 9:00 AM Saturday, May 8 – 1:00 AM Sunday, May 9. Affected customers have been contacted directly. To accommodate the needs of affected customers, Halifax Water will be providing a potable water truck in the parking lot of Robert Drive Park, at the end of Robert Drive.
Mount Edward Road will be closed to all but local traffic from Spring Avenue to Topsail Boulevard, and Brigadoon Avenue will be closed to all but local traffic from Main Street to Mount Edward Road from 8:00 AM Saturday – 5:00 AM Sunday. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
