Barrington Street - Wastewater System Maintenance

Attention motorists and pedestrians, Halifax Water will be undertaking wastewater (sewer) system maintenance Sunday, April 28th on Barrington Street.

This work will require a lane drop on Barrington Street from Valour Way to the Niobe Gate Bridge from 12:00 midnight Sunday – approximately 9:00 AM.

Two lane, two way traffic will be maintained. Sidewalks will remain open. See the attached work zone map for details.

Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zones. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.  

There will be no loss of water, wastewater or stormwater service.
