Halifax Water PSA Map - Cornwallis Street, Brunswick Street & Gottingen Street – Wastewater & Stormwater Infrastructure Inspections

Attention motorists and cyclists, Halifax Water, will be completing manhole inspections on Cornwallis Street, Brunswick Street, and Gottingen Street, tomorrow, Tuesday, May 5.

This work will take place on these three streets and their intersections:

  • Traffic lights at the intersection of Cornwallis Street and Brunswick Street will be turned off from 9:00 AM until approximately 9:30 AM.
  • Traffic lights at the intersection of Cornwallis Street and Gottingen Street will be turned off between approximately 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
  • Similar work will take place on Cunard Street, Maynard Street, and Creighton Street, with minimal impacts to traffic as this work will not take place in intersections with traffic lights.

Experienced traffic control will be on-site to direct traffic around this work. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

For the safety of work crews and residents, please observe social/physical distancing requirements (2 metres of separation).

This work will not impact water, wastewater, or stormwater service. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
