Due to third-party construction work, water services on Southwoood Drive, Halifax will be shut off from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 29th.Impacted water service customers were notified in advance of this work.
The following traffic will be in place:
- Local traffic only on Southwood Drive and Harbourview Drive
- The inbound lane on Young Avenue between Southwood Drive and Harbourview Drive will be closed. Detours will be in place.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows.
Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. To learn more about discoloured water and to report it, please visit www.halifaxwater.ca/discoloured-water.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
