Windsor Street – Wastewater System Maintenance

On October 20 - 21, Eastern Trenchless, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be undertaking trenchless wastewater system rehabilitation work on Windsor Street near its intersection with Young Street. This work will take place from 7:00 AM until approximately 7:00 PM both days.

There will be lane drops in the work zone; see attached map. These lane drops may also impact the cycling lane within the work zone.

CIPP lining involves reinforcing the inside of ageing underground pipes with a fabric liner that is saturated with a resin and then cured using UV light. This process is significantly less intrusive to traffic than traditional open-trench excavations for pipe replacement work that would otherwise need to be done.

Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
